BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS
LAMPS holds hundreds of thousands of dollars in endowments, bursaries and awards.

Bursary application forms can be downloaded from the University's web site. Read the bursary information and instructions. Unless otherwise specified, only one bursary application form is required for all bursaries.
THE LAMPS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Awarded to a graduating student in each faculty who has taken a minimum of ten courses through the Centre for Continuing Education and has achieved the highest academic standing (minimum 80% average) on all courses required for the degree. These $150 awards are distributed twice annually at the Spring and Fall Convocations.
LAMPS FIRST NATIONS RECOGNITION AWARD and LAMPS RECOGNITION AWARDS
These awards have been developed to recognize Laurentian Association of Mature and Part-Time First Nations and Non-First Nations Student members who not only excel academically but also go beyond within the community. Funded by the Laurentian Association of Mature and Part-Time Students (LAMPS), these awards and are awarded annually to part-time Envision or on-campus and/or full-time Envision students enrolled in any program at Laurentian University. Three awards will be given per session (fall, winter, spring), totalling nine awards dispersed annually. One award per term will be designated as a First Nations award. Recipients must be in good academic standing with a minimum average of 70% within the last semester. Recipients must demonstrate examples of strong community involvement and superior initiative within their participation in extra-curricular activities. Applicants are required to submit a letter (maximum 500 words) indicating in detail how they meet the criteria for these awards. The value of each award is $700. Selection of award recipients shall be made by the Student Awards Office at Laurentian University based on the criteria identified above.
LAMPS STUDENTS WITH DEPENDANT(S) ASSISTANCE AWARD
The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to a student of Laurentian University. Recipient(s) must be a single care-giver or two caregivers who are enrolled in post-secondary education. Applicants will be asked to write a brief essay explaining any special circumstances and how they would benefit from the bursary. Value is variable. Application is required.
